Armra vs Raw Revelations
As I’m sure many of you have seen Colostrum has taken the supplements industry by storm, but why? Colostrum is what is first expelled from the breast after birth for humans and other mammals. It is also known as “liquid gold” as it is nutrient dense and high in antibodies. It is extremely important for proper immune development, closure of your mucosal linings, development of your gut microbiome and so much more.
Colostrum is a form of dairy and due to the 1987 FDA regulation all dairy products must be pasteurized. Today, most pasteurization processes use a High Temperature Short Time (HTST) process. This procedure with high heat changes the chemical structure of the dairy, neutralizes pathogens, and destroys enzymes. Dairy can contain harmful bacteria and other diseases, but the pasteurization process also destroys any benefits that dairy has on our body’s.

Colostrum is a dairy product and does have to utilize a pasteurization process. ARMRA does pasteurize but not in the typical way, they use a low-heat extraction technology that removes anything harmful while maintaining the chemical structure and its benefits. They only use grass-fed cows in family-owned farms in the U.S. They collect the colostrum within the first 24 hours of birth, after the calf has been fed to satiety. This allows for optimal nutrients but also lets the mother care for and feed her calf. ARMRA does conduct third party lab testing on all batches.
ARMRA Colostrum is a bioactive product containing the utmost nutrients for our health. Human Colostrum has an extensive history of studies, but Bovine Colostrum has not. ARMRA conducted studies using Bovine Colostrum on immune and gut cells. The study on the gut epithelium showed a 60-70% wound repair after 6 days compared to the untreated sample which barely showed a 10% repair in 6 days. This study confirmed that “Bovine colostrum contains multiple immune-active components, including immunoglobulins, prebiotic oligosaccharides, and bioactive peptides designed for immune protection against bacterial and viral challenges (Jensen).” This basically means that the Bovine Colostrum has the same benefits as human colostrum and has no expiration of benefits. Colostrum can be used to support, improve, and heal throughout one’s life.
Raw Revelations uses grade A approved U.S. farms. They collect the colostrum within the first 24 hours of birth, after the calf has been fed to satiety. This allows for optimal nutrients but also lets the mother care for and feed her calf. They also utilize third party testing for all batches. Raw Revelations utilized the same process as ARMRA, except for one step. Raw Revelations use a lipid bilayer coating, Sunflower Lecithin. Stated on their website, this lipid bilayer allows for increased dispersion in liquids and protection from stomach acids to allow for proper absorption in the small intestine.
Looking at both products:
ARMRA: Dusty, white powder. No scent or taste.
Raw Revelations: More like a flour (has more moisture), yellow powder. Slight smell and taste.
I use Colostrum in my Matcha Lemonade every morning. Using ARMRA, it dissolves very well in cold and hot drinks. There is no taste or smell. Using Raw Revelations it clumps and doesn’t dissolve in cold or hot liquids.
Cost:
ARMRA: 4.3 oz for 109.99
Raw Revelations: 4.4 oz for $45
The costs are drastically different. Personally, one jar of ARMRA can last me 45-60 days. It all depends on how much you're using. I use 2-3 scoops every day.
In my opinion, after my research and product testing I choose ARMRA. Sunflower lecithin is an emulsifier made from sunflower seeds. It can cause inflammation or digestive upset and if you choose to consume it should be consumed in moderation.
